Once upon a time Realtor assisting Realtor!

In the Good Olde Days The Realtor representing the Buyer did what they were supposed to do in handling their side of the Transaction and the Sellers agent did the same! There were really never any problems and the transaction went smoothly.

Today I`m involved in no less than 3 transactions where am finding my processors and i are doing all the work! In one case we`re dealing directly with the Buyers Mortgage Broker to keep the deal from Dying! The attitude of some of the Realtors are in fact irritating. They don`t return calls,refuse to get involved and overall don`t seem to care if the deal is completed or not! They act like it doesn`t matter to them one way or another. Worse, when I contact their Brokers to explain what`s happening they seem not to care either!
Many times I see on the MLS "Deal Fell Through!" I`m learning first hand why this is transpiring more and more. Where we once assisted each other we now act like we don`t have to do our jobs!

Where we once kept each other informed about the transaction we now "lie,pretend we don`t know and deny everything". This is common, an example is not notifying us that the Buyer changed Title Companies, or Lenders.

It`s rather quite astounding in our business and seems to be the Norm. At first I thought this was only happening in South Florida, but we deal in other parts of the State as well. The same behavior is rampant all over the State! It appears that many of the Old Timers have left the business and many of the new agents have never been trained properly. How else would you be able to explain this new phenomenon?
