Lee County Homes Sales Continue to Rise!

Prices continued to soar in July for existing homes in Lee County, even as the number of houses for sale climbed and the market softened at the high end.
The median price of an existing home sold in Lee County with the help of a Realtor rose 44 percent from a year ago to $287,000 in July, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Florida Association of Realtors.Around the country, existing-home sales fell 2.6 percent to a 7.16 million annual pace last month from the record 7.35 million rate in June, the National Association of Realtors said Tuesday. The median price rose 0.5 percent to an all-time high of $218,000, and the supply of homes for sale rose to the highest in 17 years.
Lee County's was the second highest percentage increase in the state — behind Orlando, up 45 percent to $247,900.Collier County stayed the most expensive market in the state, up 31 percent to $490,400. Charlotte County was up 34 percent to $236,600.
